NTT DATA, a global information technology company that provides AI, digital transformation, and technology services, has announced the launch of its new GCC Innovation Acceleration Program, which is focused on supporting multinational enterprises in setting up and scaling Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and innovation centers in India. The program is focused on supporting organizations that want to improve their global innovation capabilities while leveraging India’s technology talent pool. The program, which was officially announced in October 2025, aims to support over 50 global companies over the next three years as they look to improve their innovation centers in India. The program aims to accelerate how companies build, launch, and grow high-impact innovation centers that support global business operations.

With the increasing trend of enterprises competing in a digital-first economy, the need for highly skilled IT professionals and innovation capabilities has seen a significant increase. Currently, many global organizations are setting up or expanding their overseas innovation centers to cater to the changing technology and product development demands. NTT DATA recognized India as an important geography for the program due to its high technical expertise, developed IT infrastructure, and availability of engineering and digital skills. The GCC landscape in India is developing at a rapid rate and is becoming a crucial pillar for multinational companies to expand their innovation centers across the world. According to industry insights, as mentioned by NTT DATA, the India GCC sector, which deals with delivering IT services, digital engineering, and operational services to multinational companies, is expected to grow by nearly 70 percent and touch $110 billion by 2030, as opposed to $65 billion currently. During the same period, the number of centers is expected to grow to over 2,500, employing 4.5 million professionals across India.

Through the GCC Innovation Acceleration Program, NTT DATA will leverage its global consulting capabilities, technology, and experience in developing digital transformation platforms to help companies establish high-value innovation environments. The program will be centered on enabling organizations to transcend conventional cost management strategies and leverage the capabilities of GCCs as strategic innovation platforms that can drive research, product development, and digital transformation initiatives across the enterprise.

This example illustrates how GCCs have become essential in the innovation process of firms.

Today, industry analysts and technology leaders alike are recognizing India’s GCC ecosystem as a foundation of global digital transformation strategies. As multinational organizations are adopting a distributed innovation strategy, GCCs are contributing to various areas, including product engineering, AI development, cybersecurity operations, and software modernization, to name a few.

NTT DATA’s new program is designed to help businesses take advantage of this industry-wide trend to drive innovation and create globally integrated technology hubs. With its consulting capabilities, global delivery infrastructure, and domain expertise, the company is helping businesses transform their offshore operations to become innovation hubs that can drive overall business and technology advancements.

As organizations across the world look for quicker routes to innovation, the GCC Innovation Acceleration Program is poised to assist businesses in leveraging India’s developing technology landscape while developing global innovation strategies for the digital age.
