Groq, a leading innovator in AI inference, announced that it has raised $750 million in new financing, bringing its post-money valuation to $6.9 billion. The funding round was led by Disruptive, with substantial investments from Blackrock, Neuberger Berman, Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, and a major US-based West Coast mutual fund manager. Additional support came from returning investors, including Samsung, Cisco, D1, Altimeter, 1789 Capital, and Infinitum.

Groq delivers fast, affordable compute to over two million developers and Fortune 500 companies worldwide. The company is expanding its global footprint, enhancing existing data centers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East to meet growing demand for high-performance AI infrastructure.

“Inference is defining this era of AI, and we’re building the American infrastructure that delivers it with high speed and low cost.”  Jonathan Ross, Groq Founder and CEO.

The company’s growth aligns with recent U.S. policy initiatives, including a White House executive order promoting the export of the American AI Technology Stack. Groq’s American-built inference infrastructure is now a cornerstone for developers and enterprises globally, facilitating faster, more efficient AI deployments.

Disruptive, a Dallas-based growth investment firm, has a history of backing transformative companies such as Palantir, Airbnb, Spotify, Shield AI, Hims, Databricks, Stripe, and Slack, along with other leaders in AI and adjacent industries. The firm has invested nearly $350 million in Groq to date.

“As AI expands, the infrastructure behind it will be as essential as the models themselves,” said Alex Davis, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Disruptive. “Groq is building that foundation, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Jonathan and his team in this next chapter of explosive growth.”

With this new capital injection, Groq is poised to accelerate its innovation in AI inference, reinforcing its position as a critical player in the global AI ecosystem.
