Okta has appointed Sunil Kedaraji as Vice President, Channels and Strategic Alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), bringing an experienced cybersecurity and identity executive into a role focused on the company’s regional partner ecosystem.
Kedaraji announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he will work with Okta’s teams and partners across APJ. His responsibilities include strengthening strategic alliances, developing partner capabilities, and supporting the company’s channel strategy across the region.
The appointment comes as identity security is becoming increasingly important with the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence. Enterprises are no longer managing identities only for employees and customers. AI applications, autonomous agents, machines, APIs, and other non-human systems are creating additional identities that require authentication, authorization, and appropriate access controls.

Kedaraji brings more than 24 years of experience in the technology sector, including senior channel and partner leadership roles in cybersecurity and identity. Before joining Okta, he held leadership positions at Saviynt, SailPoint, Proofpoint, and Quest Software. His experience has included developing partner strategies and working with technology ecosystems across the APJ region.
At Saviynt, Kedaraji was involved in building the company’s partner strategy across APJ, with a focus on identity security and the role of partners in helping organizations respond to changing security requirements. His previous work also included channel leadership at Proofpoint.
His move to Okta comes as organizations across APJ evaluate how identity and access management should evolve alongside AI adoption. The growing number of human and machine identities is creating new requirements for visibility, governance, and security.
Kedaraji’s appointment highlights the increasing importance of channel ecosystems in delivering cybersecurity capabilities across diverse APJ markets, where local partners often play a key role in technology implementation and customer engagement.
