New capabilities within Oracle Cloud SCM help organizations streamline warehouse operations, simplify inventory transactions, and accelerate order fulfillment

Oracle has unveiled a powerful new addition to its Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain and Manufacturing (SCM) portfolio a solution designed to help businesses optimize warehouse operations and boost overall supply chain performance. The new Oracle Fusion Cloud Advanced Inventory Management, part of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite, integrates embedded AI to automate routine processes, enhance decision-making, and streamline fulfillment activities.

“Organizations that rely on outdated and manual inventory processes struggle to keep pace with evolving supply chain demands, contributing to errors, higher inventory costs, and delayed fulfilment,” said Srini Rajagopal, vice president, logistics product strategy, Oracle. “Oracle Advanced Inventory Management is designed for healthcare, manufacturing, and distribution organizations that need more than simple inventory transaction execution, but do not require the complexity of a full-scale warehouse management system. It enables these organizations to automate and streamline operations and drive greater efficiency.”

As an extension of Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management, the Advanced Inventory Management module equips businesses with intuitive tools to enhance warehouse productivity and logistics coordination.

Key features include:

  • Streamlined task assignment and execution: Minimize redundancies and improve task accuracy by assigning duties such as pick slips, PAR counts, cycle counts, physical counts, and deliveries to designated personnel.

  • Simplified inventory transactions: Boost efficiency with license plate-based tracking to streamline receiving, transfers, shipping, and inventory counts all updated in real-time within Oracle Inventory Management.

  • Real-time cross-docking alerts: Improve order fulfillment speed and reduce warehouse handling by notifying teams of immediate shipping opportunities that bypass storage.

  • Load-based shipment grouping: Cut down on logistics costs by consolidating shipments using assigned load numbers, optimizing transport in single containers or trucks.

  • Suggested put-away locations: Enhance storage efficiency through smart location recommendations for incoming inventory.

  • AI-driven inventory automation: Leverage embedded AI to optimize stock levels, trigger replenishment, and automate recurring inventory tasks.

Oracle Cloud SCM empowers enterprises to connect and streamline their end-to-end supply chain workflows. With embedded AI capabilities, the platform provides intelligent insights and process automation, enabling businesses to adapt swiftly to dynamic market, demand, and supply conditions while building a resilient supply chain ecosystem.
