ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 1, 2024 – Deloitte and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have joined forces to leverage Generative AI to streamline and enhance the delivery of essential programs by state and local health and human services agencies.

By integrating AWS’s Generative AI foundation models—such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker—into Deloitte’s Digital Service Delivery Platform, these agencies can more effectively serve their communities. This collaboration builds on existing AWS services within the platform, which include:

  • Amazon Connect: Enhances omni-channel contact centers with advanced features, including integrations with Amazon Lex, Amazon Q, and Amazon Connect Contact Lens.
  • Amazon Comprehend: Utilizes natural language processing to gain insights from document content.
  • Amazon Textract: Detects and interprets text in various formats, including handwriting.

These GenAI-enhanced features allow agencies to optimize their technology resources in response to evolving needs. Deloitte’s Digital Service Delivery Platform leverages GenAI to make services more accessible by summarizing policies and procedures for caseworkers, reducing call-center wait times, and boosting proactive outreach to benefit recipients. Additionally, these features improve program oversight and speed up review and approval processes for service providers collaborating with government agencies.
