Immunic Therapeutics has appointed Chitrang Davé as its new Chief Data and Digital Officer (CDDO), adding a dedicated data and digital leadership role as the biotechnology company moves toward important clinical and regulatory milestones.
Davé joins Immunic in a newly created C-suite position and will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Erik Lundgren. He will also become part of the company’s executive leadership team. His responsibilities will include overseeing enterprise-wide data systems, analytics, artificial intelligence and digital strategy.
The appointment reflects the growing importance of data infrastructure in life sciences, where clinical development increasingly depends on integrating data from research, trials, operations and commercial planning. For companies approaching potential commercialization, establishing systems that can scale beyond clinical development can become an important technology priority.

Davé brings more than two decades of experience across data, analytics, technology and digital transformation in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Before joining Immunic, he served as Head of Enterprise Data, AI & Advanced Analytics at Avidity Biosciences. Earlier, he was Global Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics at Edwards Lifesciences and spent 16 years at Medtronic in progressively senior data and analytics roles.
At Immunic, Davé will bring data science, data engineering, data management and digital capabilities together under a unified strategy. The company said the role is intended to support its transition from late-stage clinical development toward potential regulatory submissions and commercial readiness.
The move comes as Immunic advances its multiple sclerosis development program, including Phase 3 trials of vidofludimus calcium. Top-line results from the ENSURE trials are expected by the end of 2026, making data management and digital infrastructure increasingly relevant as the company prepares for its next stage.
For the broader biotech sector, the appointment highlights how data and AI leadership is becoming increasingly connected to clinical execution, regulatory preparation and long-term operational scalability.
