Osaic has appointed Sayee Bellamkonda as Chief AI & Technology Officer, creating a leadership role that brings artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology under a broader technology strategy. Bellamkonda will join Osaic’s executive committee and report directly to CEO Jamie Price.
The appointment comes as wealth management firms increasingly look to modernize technology infrastructure while incorporating AI into advisor and client experiences. Osaic said Bellamkonda will oversee advisor- and client-facing technology, AI, and cybersecurity strategies, with a focus on strengthening the company’s technology, data, and AI infrastructure.
Bellamkonda brings experience from several large organizations. Before joining Osaic, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Vialto Partners, where he helped build the company’s global technology organization following its separation from PwC. He has also held executive positions at CBRE, Ameriprise Financial, and American Express. His career has included work across digital products, enterprise data, AI, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and innovation.
His appointment reflects a broader shift in financial services, where technology leadership is increasingly moving beyond traditional IT operations. Firms are exploring AI to improve productivity, support advisors, analyze data, and enhance client experiences, while also having to address security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements.

For wealth management organizations, integrating AI into existing systems presents particular challenges. Financial information requires strong controls, and AI applications need reliable data and appropriate safeguards before they can be deployed across sensitive workflows.
The addition of a dedicated Chief AI & Technology Officer signals how closely these areas are becoming connected. Rather than treating AI as a standalone technology initiative, organizations are increasingly incorporating it into wider strategies covering data architecture, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, digital products, and employee productivity.
Osaic‘s move also comes amid a wider wave of AI-focused leadership appointments across financial services. Industry observers note that wealth management firms are increasingly building dedicated technology and data capabilities as they prepare for greater AI adoption.
Bellamkonda’s role will therefore extend beyond introducing new AI capabilities. A significant part of the challenge will be determining how emerging technologies can be integrated responsibly into an established financial services environment while maintaining security, reliability, and business continuity.
The appointment highlights a growing trend: AI leadership is becoming an increasingly central part of technology strategy in financial services, with data, cybersecurity, and digital transformation increasingly managed as interconnected priorities.
