His background reflects a broader shift taking place across the enterprise technology landscape. Organizations are increasingly looking at how cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and AI can work together to deliver measurable business outcomes rather than operating as separate technology initiatives.

In his new position, De Luca is expected to work with enterprises across APJ as they develop and scale AI strategies, with a particular focus on data-driven applications and agentic AI. His experience in cloud migration, application modernization, AI implementation, and developer transformation could provide a practical perspective as organizations navigate these changes.

The move also highlights the growing importance of regional technology leadership as companies across APJ accelerate their AI adoption. As enterprises seek to turn AI investments into operational capabilities, leaders with experience across cloud, data, and AI are increasingly positioned to help bridge the gap between technology strategy and implementation.
