Socure Expands AI Risk Strategy With $156M Investment and Fravity Acquisition

Identity verification and risk intelligence firm Socure has announced a strategic growth investment valuing the company at $5.2 billion, alongside the acquisition of Fravity, an agentic artificial intelligence platform engineered to automate fraud, risk, and compliance workflows.

The growth round was led by Summit Partners, with participation from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Wells Fargo, and DocuSign. The transaction encompasses both primary capital injection and a secondary tender offer for existing employees.

The news comes on the heels of sustained commercial momentum. Socure closed Q2 2026 with $364 million in total Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)-representing 63% year-over-year ARR growth—alongside 133% net dollar retention and a logo churn rate of 0.01% across a portfolio of over 3,000 enterprise clients. Additionally, international transaction volume has expanded from near zero to double-digit network share over the past two years.

Integrating Agentic Operations into RiskOS®

Through the acquisition, Socure incorporates Fravity’s first-party agent development architecture into RiskOS®, Socure’s central orchestration and decisioning environment. Rebranded as RiskOS_Agents, the technology introduces autonomous operational execution into the risk stack. The two companies already share multiple enterprise customers operating both platforms in production.

According to market intelligence firm Liminal, U.S. enterprises spend approximately $100 billion annually on manual fraud, compliance, and risk operations. Liminal research indicates that 53% of banks spend over an hour investigating individual fraud alerts, while 37% manually review more than 40% of their total alert volume. With AI-driven fraud incidents surging 8,000% over the past year, traditional manual review models face severe scaling limitations.

In live production environments, Fravity’s agentic technology has demonstrated an 80% reduction in per-case operational costs, up to 5x faster case resolution times, and a 70% decrease in false positives.

By embedding directly into RiskOS, RiskOS_Agents leverage real-time context from Socure’s proprietary Identity Graph which processes over 10 billion decisions annually across millions of resolved cases ensuring higher decision accuracy compared to standalone third-party review tools.

Executive and Investor Insights

“Identity is the first perimeter for trust in an AI-driven economy across nearly every use case, and we believe the platforms that can verify identity accurately, continuously, and at global scale, will define the next decade of risk infrastructure,” said Andy Collins, a Managing Director at Summit Partners. “Socure has built that capability with rigor — an AI-native architecture, a deep data advantage and documented outcomes for large enterprise and government customers.”

“What stands out to us about Socure is the combination of durable growth and disciplined execution at this scale,” said Matt Hamilton, a Managing Director at Summit Partners. “We have followed this market closely for years, and we believe Socure is well positioned to bring identity, fraud and compliance workflows onto a single platform. We are pleased to support CEO Johnny Ayers and the team in this next phase of growth.”

“AI broke the economics of fraud and compliance operations, and no institution is going to hire their way out of it,” said Johnny Ayers, Co-Founder and CEO of Socure. “The next decade belongs to the organization who owns the full loop: the data, the models, the decision layer, and now agents that act on all three components. Fravity, now RiskOS_Agents, completes that loop inside RiskOS. We are grateful to Summit Partners and our investors for backing the future of fraud and identity.”

Unifying Identity, Fraud, and Compliance Infrastructure

By combining primary capital, secondary liquidity, and agentic AI automation, Socure strengthens its position as an end-to-end trust infrastructure provider for the global digital economy. The integration of RiskOS_Agents establishes a closed-loop system connecting raw identity data, predictive machine learning models, orchestration decisioning, and automated case resolution.
