Quantum Circuits Joins NVIDIA CUDA-Q to Advance Dual-Rail Qubit Apps

Quantum Circuits, has announced the integration of NVIDIA CUDA-Q programming capabilities into its Aqumen software suite. This collaboration marks a significant step toward enabling researchers and enterprises to design, test, and scale quantum applications using both quantum processors and GPUs within a single hybrid workflow.

This development represents the first-ever integration of CUDA-Q with a dual-rail programming environment that incorporates error detection. The milestone paves the way for more efficient, scalable, and commercially viable quantum workflows by combining high-performance computing with QCI’s advanced quantum architecture.

Initially, developers can build and validate CUDA-Q applications on AquSim, Quantum Circuits’ proprietary simulator. AquSim enables rapid prototyping and testing before transitioning workloads to QCI’s full-stack quantum processing units (QPUs). In upcoming releases, CUDA-Q applications will also run on Aqumen Seeker and next-generation QPUs powered by dual-rail qubits an innovation that incorporates built-in error detection. These dual-rail qubits are designed to accelerate scalability and bring the industry closer to fault-tolerant, commercially ready quantum computing.

“Our work with NVIDIA accelerates the path to commercial-ready quantum computing,” said Ray Smets, CEO of Quantum Circuits. “We want to introduce enterprises and HPC application developers to a new way to integrate quantum compute and CUDA-Q applications enhanced by our novel dual-rail qubit with built-in error detection. These applications will run on our QPU, Aqumen Seeker, the world’s first system to offer error detection that dramatically improves quantum calculation with industry-leading fidelity and superconducting execution speed.”

“Hybrid quantum-classical systems are charting the path to useful quantum applications, and CUDA-Q is leading the charge,” said Tim Costa, senior director of Quantum and CUDA-X at NVIDIA. “Our work with Quantum Circuits combines the power of accelerated computing with their quantum processors, enabling researchers to develop hybrid applications that leverage dual-rail superconducting qubits for the first time.”

With the integration of CUDA-Q, Aqumen users can begin creating and executing quantum applications immediately. The platform supports a full set of CUDA-Q programming features, including universal quantum gates and real-time feedforward execution, delivering the essential tools needed for next-generation quantum-classical solutions.
