Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multicloud computing, announced the general availability of the latest version of its Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) solution. This release integrates deeper capabilities with NVIDIA AI Enterprise, including NVIDIA NIM microservices and the NVIDIA NeMo framework, to streamline the deployment of Agentic AI applications in enterprise environments. This new integration enables businesses to leverage cutting-edge AI technology for faster, more secure deployment of AI agents across the edge, data centers, and public clouds.

The NAI solution is designed to accelerate the adoption of generative AI by simplifying how customers build, run, and securely manage models and inferencing services in Cloud Native Computing Foundation® (CNCF)-certified Kubernetes® environments. The latest release expands NAI’s core capabilities, offering businesses the tools to deploy AI applications seamlessly, securely, and privately.

Enhanced Integration for Streamlined AI Development and Deployment

The new release builds on NAI’s shared model service methodology, designed to simplify agentic workflows and improve day-two operations. This enables businesses to deploy multiple applications across various lines of business with a common set of embedding, reranking, and guardrail functional models for agents. This is powered by NAI’s centralized LLM model repository, which ensures secure endpoints and makes connecting generative AI applications and agents both simple and private.

Nutanix is helping customers keep up with the fast pace of innovation in the Gen AI market,” said Thomas Cornely, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Nutanix. “We’ve expanded Nutanix Enterprise AI to integrate new NVIDIA NIM and NeMo microservices so that enterprise customers can securely and efficiently build, run, and manage AI Agents anywhere.”

“Enterprises require sophisticated tools to simplify agentic AI development and deployment across their operations,” said Justin Boitano, Vice President of Enterprise AI Software Products at NVIDIA. “Integrating NVIDIA AI Enterprise software including NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA NeMo into Nutanix Enterprise AI provides a streamlined foundation for building and running powerful and secure AI agents.”

Key Benefits of the Nutanix and NVIDIA Collaboration for Agentic AI Applications:

  1. Deploy Agentic AI with Shared LLM Endpoints
Customers can reuse model endpoints as shared services for multiple applications, optimizing critical infrastructure usage and reducing the need for additional computing resources such as GPUs, CPUs, and Kubernetes clusters.

  2. Leverage a Wide Range of LLM Endpoints
NAI supports various agentic model services, including NVIDIA Llama Nemotron open reasoning models, NVIDIA NeMo Retriever, and NeMo Guardrails. This empowers businesses to develop custom AI applications leveraging NVIDIA’s AI microservices and blueprints.

  3. Enhance Generative AI Safety
The updated NAI solution includes guardrail models to ensure that AI applications align with organizational policies, filtering out harmful or biased content and ensuring consistent and reliable responses.

  4. Unlock Insights from Data with NVIDIA AI Data Platform
NAI integrates with the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, combining Nutanix Unified Storage and Nutanix Database Service for both unstructured and structured data. This powerful combination enables businesses to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Flexible, Secure, and Scalable Deployment Options

NAI allows customers to deploy AI solutions flexibly, either on HCI, bare metal, or cloud IaaS platforms. It also integrates seamlessly with Nutanix’s Kubernetes Platform for multicloud fleet management, enabling smooth containerized application deployment. Businesses can leverage Nutanix’s Unified Storage and Database Services as discrete data services, providing a comprehensive solution for agentic AI applications.

“Customers can realize the full potential of generative AI without sacrificing control, which is especially important as businesses expand into agentic capabilities,” said Scott Sinclair, Practice Director at ESG. “This expanded partnership with NVIDIA provides organizations with an optimized solution for agentic AI, minimizing the risk of managing complex workflows while safeguarding deployment through secure endpoint creation for APIs. AI initiatives are employed to deliver strategic advantages, but those advantages can’t happen without optimized infrastructure control and security.”
