Havas Media Network India has elevated Rohan Chincholi to the newly expanded role of Chief Client and AI Officer, bringing client leadership and artificial intelligence together under one mandate.
Chincholi moves into the role after serving as Chief Digital Officer at Havas Media India. He announced the transition on LinkedIn, describing the position as an opportunity to work at the intersection of client success and AI innovation.
The appointment reflects a broader shift in the advertising and media industry, where AI is increasingly becoming part of client strategy, media planning, performance marketing and day-to-day agency operations. Combining AI responsibilities with client leadership also points to a growing focus on connecting technology initiatives with measurable business and customer outcomes.

His roles have included Head of Media and Business Head for Digital in West and South India, Head of Digital Services, Managing Partner for Digital, and most recently Chief Digital Officer.
His career has covered areas including digital advertising, media planning, programmatic, social media, marketing technology and client management. He has also been involved in discussions around AI-powered bidding, performance marketing and the changing role of technology in media.
In the new position, Chincholi is expected to focus on strengthening client relationships while helping shape how AI is applied across the network. The combined remit comes as agencies face growing pressure to move beyond experimentation with AI and integrate it into practical workflows and business strategies.
