KINEXON has appointed Florian Engel as its new Global Head of Marketing, adding experienced marketing leadership as the company continues to expand its presence across industrial technology markets.

Engel announced the move on LinkedIn, describing his new mandate as scaling KINEXON’s industrial deep-tech footprint globally. His focus will include technologies such as real-time location tracking, Industrial IoT and autonomous systems, areas that are increasingly shaping how manufacturers and logistics organizations digitize physical operations.

The appointment comes as industrial companies are moving beyond basic connectivity toward systems that can provide real-time visibility and support increasingly automated operations. KINEXON develops technology for manufacturing and logistics, combining location intelligence, Industrial IoT and automation capabilities to help businesses connect physical processes with digital systems.

For Engel, the new role brings together marketing and go-to-market experience with a technology environment centered on the digitization of physical operations. His LinkedIn profile describes him as a global marketing and GTM leader with previous experience at VMware, 3M and OpenText.

The move also reflects a broader change in industrial technology marketing. As manufacturers and logistics companies adopt IoT, robotics, location tracking and AI-supported automation, technology providers increasingly need to explain how these systems translate into practical operational changes rather than focusing solely on individual technologies.

KINEXON currently operates from Munich and Chicago and works across sectors including automotive, manufacturing and aerospace. The company says its technology is used to connect and automate operations on shop floors and in warehouses.

Engel’s appointment therefore comes at an interesting point for the industrial technology market, where the convergence of IoT, automation and AI is creating new opportunities—and new challenges for companies trying to communicate the value of increasingly complex technology.
