Seasoned engineering leader brings 25+ years of experience to advance Nile’s vision of bringing a generational shift in networking with its secure and autonomous Network-as-a-Service platform
Nile has appointed Srinivas Kavuri as Chief Development Officer, bringing more than 25 years of engineering and technology leadership experience to the Secure Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) company. The appointment was announced on September 24, 2026.
In his new role, Kavuri will report to Nile Co-founder and CEO Pankaj Patel and lead the company’s global engineering organization. His responsibilities will include helping advance Nile’s networking technology and scaling its engineering operations as the company develops its approach to secure and increasingly autonomous enterprise networking.
Kavuri joins Nile from Zscaler, where he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Most recently, he led development of a platform designed to unify multiple Zscaler cloud services, giving him experience across cloud-based security infrastructure and large-scale engineering environments.
Before Zscaler, Kavuri held engineering leadership positions at Cisco, Veritas Technologies, MobileIron and CommVault Systems. His career has covered networking, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data management and storage.

His appointment comes as enterprise networking continues to evolve alongside cloud adoption, cybersecurity requirements and the growing use of artificial intelligence. Organizations are increasingly looking at ways to simplify network management while maintaining security and supporting more distributed technology environments.
Nile operates in this space through its Secure Network-as-a-Service model, which combines networking infrastructure, security and cloud-based operations. The company describes its architecture as incorporating a native Zero Trust Fabric and autonomous operations.
Kavuri also holds multiple patents covering areas including cloud storage, data management and security. He earned undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and graduate degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Iowa.
His move to Nile places an experienced engineering executive at the center of the company’s technology organization as enterprise networking increasingly intersects with cloud, security and AI-driven infrastructure.
