AI-native contract lifecycle management (CLM) provider IntelAgree has announced major updates to its platform, introducing custom automated workflows through Saige Assist: Agent alongside role-based permission settings in the Add Contract wizard.
The dual product updates aim to increase productivity across enterprise legal operations. By augmenting what AI agents can accomplish across contract portfolios while removing friction from the initial request phase, the platform simplifies end-to-end contract governance.
Custom AI Workflows via Saige Assist: Agent
The introduction of “skills” within Saige Assist: Agent allows corporate teams to build, store, and execute repeatable AI-driven workflows on demand. Designed as structured Markdown files, these skills allow organizations to formulate custom routines such as generating bi-weekly status reports or executing standardized contract reviews and share them across teams or import them from external large language models (LLMs).
When executing a skill, Agent references the organization’s complete repository history, evaluating past agreements, version trajectories, redlines, and internal comments.

Key capabilities introduced in the Saige Assist update include:
- Dedicated management dashboards to construct, search, and edit custom skills.
- Markdown export functionality, allowing users to transfer skills to team members for quick deployment.
- Native integration within the IntelAgree Microsoft Word Add-in to run automated skills directly during live contract redlining.
Additionally, IntelAgree has expanded the agent’s search capabilities to analyze advanced metadata, including business keys, attribute risk scores, and overall contract risk indicators. The agent also introduces stateful actions enabling users to trigger ad hoc approvals, establish set reminders, update clause playbooks, attach documents, and tag stakeholders directly within a single conversation thread. Real-time control features like “Stop” and “Steer” allow human operators to pause or redirect agent execution mid-request.
“Contract work should meet people where they already are, and now it does,” said Kyle Myers, Chief Product Officer at IntelAgree. “A team can run its own workflows on a deal with the deal’s full history of versions and comments behind them, all within the organization’s guardrails. Freedom and control in the same place is what teams should expect from AI in a contract platform.”
Streamlined Contract Creation and Role-Based Intake
Alongside AI advancements, IntelAgree has optimized its intake workflow by allowing administrators to hide non-relevant fields in the “Define Contract” wizard based on user permission levels.
By filtering out unnecessary questions for non-legal requesters, the platform reduces administrative confusion and speeds up submission times. When hidden fields carry only one possible option, IntelAgree automatically populates default values behind the scenes.
