FPT Corporation has announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Microsoft designed to accelerate enterprise artificial intelligence adoption and co-innovation across key Asian markets, with a primary emphasis on Japan, South Korea, and the ASEAN region. The initiative pairs Microsoft’s global AI infrastructure and platforms with FPT’s large-scale engineering delivery and regional market presence. The joint effort aims to guide organizations away from isolated AI experimentation and toward scalable, real-world deployment with measurable commercial outcomes.
The deepened relationship integrates directly with FPT’s core AI-First corporate strategy and supports Microsoft’s broader focus on human-agent workplace collaboration. Through this shared blueprint, both entities plan to assist enterprise clients in restructuring operational workflows across engineering, back-office operations, and core business units.
Establishing FPT as an AI Frontier Enterprise
Under the terms of this expanded agreement, FPT will collaborate with Microsoft under the designation of an AI Frontier Company. Within this operational model, organizations are structured as human-led and agent-operated systems, seamlessly embedding autonomous AI agents into daily enterprise workflows and core business processes. Concurrently, FPT will gain early access to Microsoft’s next-generation AI pipelines, fostering joint development around generative and agentic AI architectures, reference models, and scalable industry-specific demonstrations.
Supported by a global workforce of 30,000 AI-augmented engineers, FPT continues to prioritize Microsoft’s corporate platforms for its internal digital evolution, focusing heavily on Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot. As part of this internal roadmap, the corporation aims to train and equip up to 20,000 of its software developers with advanced agentic programming capabilities over the next three years. This focus on an AI-augmented talent pool is designed to fast-track modern engineering methodologies and accelerate broader digital transformation initiatives for FPT’s global client base.

In addition, this partnership level sets out an operational route towards increasingly advanced and strategic engagement models that are applicable through 2030. It is hoped that the partnership will provide a tangible reference point and a way forward for adopting the Microsoft enterprise technology platform, and how global organizations go beyond productivity improvements through collaborative human-machine integration.
Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation “As enterprises move from AI experimentation to enterprise wide adoption, the challenge is no longer technology alone it is scale, resilience, and execution,” said Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation. “Through our deepened collaboration with Microsoft, FPT is enabling global enterprises to accelerate AI transformation across different stages of maturity from early exploration to AI-enabled workforce productivity and upskilling, to the integration of AI into core processes and fully AI native operations strengthening cybersecurity readiness, accelerating cloud and recovery architectures, and improving cost efficiency through productivity led digital and AI transformation. We are committed to enabling clients to move faster, operate more intelligently, and scale AI capabilities wherever their business operates.”
Orchestrating Regional Impact and National AI Growth
Alliance partners will employ a defined “Pathfinder” go-to-market strategy to increase company involvement through key Asian technology centers. The approach includes executive sponsorship, collaborative governance structures, co-investment and regional marketing strategies. It is all aimed at assisting firms to incorporate AI in a consistent, replicable and realistic fashion through ongoing training programs for sales, leadership and engineering staffs.
Furthermore, the two entities will focus heavily on building replicable AI adoption architectures tailored for specific industries. This strategy will assist organizations in navigating the shift from proof-of-concept tests to full enterprise integration, utilizing Microsoft’s technical resources, specialized enablement frameworks, and co-innovation labs.
Mayank Wadhwa, President of Microsoft ASEAN “Vietnam is stepping into a pivotal phase of AI adoption, where organizations are ready to scale beyond pilots and redesign how work gets done. AI Frontier organizations, human led and agent operated, will define this next chapter. By combining Microsoft’s trusted global AI platforms with FPT’s large-scale capabilities and deep engineering strength, we are helping Vietnamese enterprises accelerate this transformation with safety, responsibility, and real impact.”
The strategic goals of both corporations also align with Vietnam’s broader socioeconomic ambition to establish itself as an AI Frontier Government. Areas of mutual development include joint industry thought leadership, government capability building, policy-aligned software blueprints, and local ecosystem engagement. This work will combine Microsoft’s cloud platforms with FPT’s localized delivery networks and public-sector experience, ensuring compliance with domestic regulatory landscapes and national technology priorities.
A Three-Decade Technology Alliance
FPT and Microsoft first established their formal relationship in 1996, collaborating across various foundational technology initiatives including public taxation infrastructure, digital customs frameworks, e-government systems, and hospital management solutions. Over the past thirty years, the relationship has grown significantly in operational scope, allowing FPT to build deep expertise across the Microsoft partner ecosystem to execute large-scale deployments for multinational corporations.

Backed by an internal team consisting of over 3,000 Microsoft-certified individuals, FPT has constantly been strengthening its presence in the world of artificial intelligence (AI) enabled business migration through specialized expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure. Significantly, in 2026, FPT emerged as the first Microsoft Enterprise System Integrator in Southeast Asia to earn the prestigious Frontier Partner award. FPT has also gained global recognition as a distinguished partner for Microsoft AI Discovery Cards, achievements which highlight its demonstrated ability to turn lofty aspirations related to AI into practical transformation pathways.
To further anchor its corporate AI transformation efforts, FPT recently introduced FPT CASAN, a holistic implementation methodology built to assist clients in shifting out of fragmented proof-of-concepts into scaled production environments. Built upon a five-tier AI maturity matrix comprising Curious, Augmented, Standard, Automatic, and Native stages FPT CASAN provides a clear corporate roadmap to evaluate operational readiness, formalize data governance, and run AI models across core business pillars, removing data silos to ensure measurable, outcome-driven business efficiency.
