During the Cloud Next ‘26 conference, GE Appliances, a Haier company, revealed a significant leap in its digital transformation strategy by integrating Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s sophisticated agentic AI portfolio. This collaboration marks a new era for the century-old manufacturer, which has successfully deployed over 800 AI agents across its manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain networks to enhance operational agility and product quality.
GE Appliances, by changing into an “agentic enterprise” model, is spreading out the use of artificial intelligence. The move delegates strong digital tools right on the frontline workers, who are the ones most familiar with the manufacturing process, allowing them to enhance the efficiency through data-based insights.
“AI is now integral to the way work gets done at GE Appliances. With hundreds of AI agents already in use across manufacturing and operations, our Digital Technology team is accelerating this AI transformation with Gemini Enterprise to build the secure, connected data foundations necessary to lead the industry in the AI era,” said Mandar Deo, vice president of Digital Technology & Chief Digital Officer at GE Appliances.
Revolutionizing the ‘Brilliant Factory’
The cornerstone of this rollout is the integration of Gemini Enterprise into the company’s “Brilliant Factory” platform. This proprietary system monitors a vast array of metrics, including production performance and part genealogy, across multiple shifts and facilities.
With the infusion of Gemini’s AI capabilities, GE Appliances has moved beyond reactive troubleshooting to a proactive, real-time operational model.
Key breakthroughs include:
- Rapid Shift Intelligence: AI agents now condense hours of shift data analysis into minutes, enabling faster identification of production bottlenecks.
- Conversational Data Access: Factory floor employees can interact with production data using natural language, removing the technical barriers typically associated with data science.
- Proactive Optimization: Live monitoring of equipment health and line yields has led to a measurable reduction in downtime and consistent output quality.

Optimizing Global Logistics and Supply Chains
The impact extends well beyond the factory floor. GE Appliances utilized the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to develop the Quality Insights AI tool. This assistant facilitates a shift from manual quality reviews to automated, AI-assisted analysis, identifying millions of dollars in potential improvements within customer logistics.
“We used Gemini Enterprise to create and deploy Quality Insights Assistant to help our teams identify visual patterns faster from customer feedback,” said Marcia Brey, vice president of Logistics, GE Appliances. “At our scale, that means we can catch defects sooner and improve product quality, ultimately delivering a better consumer experience.”
Also, the service parts organization of the company, which processes 27 million service parts each year, uses a Supplier Collaboration Agent. It has been in operation since 2025, streamlining communications with more than 600 suppliers, thereby cutting down back orders by 25%. This allows employees to concentrate on other areas for growth.
The Future of Agentic Manufacturing
Google Cloud executives highlighted GE Appliances as a primary example of how legacy industries can successfully pivot to modern AI architectures.
“GE Appliances serves as a model for the agentic enterprise, demonstrating how Gemini Enterprise can be deployed at scale to solve complex, real-world industrial challenges,” said Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Google Cloud. “By building AI agents into their manufacturing processes, they are combining their deep industry experience with modern AI to make faster, better decisions.”
As GE Appliances continues to evolve, its commitment to integrating AI across its workforce reaffirms its position as a leader in American manufacturing, ensuring that its products found in half of all U.S. homes remain at the forefront of innovation.
