Arrcus and Fujitsu-1Finity Forge Strategic Collaboration to Power Secure Sovereign AI Infrastructure

Related stories

Arrcus, a leading provider of distributed networking infrastructure, has announced a strategic collaboration with Fujitsu and its subsidiary 1Finity to advance secure, energy-efficient infrastructure solutions built around Fujitsu’s next-generation FUJITSU-MONAKA Arm-based CPU. This partnership aims to support the expanding demands of the Physical AI Era, where real-time AI inference and training workloads extend from centralized data centers into distributed edge environments.

As enterprises and telecommunications providers increasingly deploy AI closer to where data is generated including manufacturing floors, hospitals, logistics hubs, and regional networks organizations face heightened challenges related to latency, power efficiency, data sovereignty, and security. To address these demands, Arrcus and Fujitsu are jointly developing a Secure Sovereign AI Infrastructure architecture that integrates FUJITSU-MONAKA compute capabilities with Arrcus ArcOS®, the company’s disaggregated software-defined network operating system, and 1Finity’s high-speed optical interconnect solutions.

This unified infrastructure is engineered to support highly distributed AI workloads from ultra-low-latency edge inference to scalable AI training while maintaining robust governance, operational flexibility, and strong data protection.

Key Benefits of the Collaboration Include:

  • Optimized performance and energy efficiency leveraging Fujitsu’s FUJITSU-MONAKA architecture
  • Dynamic network traffic orchestration and secure connectivity via Arrcus’ advanced software-defined networking
  • End-to-end automation and workload-aware routing essential for real-time and distributed AI applications
  • Enhanced data sovereignty and confidential computing through hardware-rooted security features
  • Tailored support for use cases ranging from Physical AI, enterprise AI governance, to service provider-hosted distributed AI platforms

Strategic Vision from Leadership

“AI inference is increasingly happening closer to where data is generated, in factories, hospitals, warehouses, and regional networks, and that fundamentally changes infrastructure requirements,” said Shekar Ayyar, Chairman and CEO of Arrcus. “By combining Arrcus’ distributed, programmable networking software with Fujitsu’s FUJITSU-MONAKA platform, we’re laying the foundation for secure, sovereign AI infrastructure that can scale from the edge to the core while optimizing for power, performance, and operational flexibility.”

Toshio Yoshida, Vice President in charge of processor development within Fujitsu’s Advanced Technology Development Unit, added: “Physical AI and edge inference demand infrastructure that is not only powerful, but also energy-efficient and secure by design. Our collaboration with Arrcus around FUJITSU-MONAKA is key to meeting data sovereignty requirements and enabling enterprises and service providers to deploy trusted AI infrastructure with confidence across edge-to-core environments.”

Driving Distributed AI into Production

Together, Fujitsu, Arrcus, and 1Finity are aligning compute, networking, and high-speed optical transport into a cohesive architecture designed for next-generation distributed AI clouds. The partners intend to present this innovative solution concept at MWC Barcelona, showcasing how distributed AI infrastructures are evolving beyond traditional connectivity into fully programmable platforms supporting advanced AI services.
