Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has officially launched its first AWS Innovation Hub in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Spanning 8,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility is located within AWS’s corporate office in downtown Singapore. The Hub offers an interactive, immersive experience designed for CEOs and business leaders to explore the potential of AWS technologies, Amazon innovations, and more than 30 partner solutions across 50 real-world use cases.

Aimed at accelerating digital and artificial intelligence (AI) transformation for both public and private sector organizations in APAC, this multi-million-dollar initiative complements AWS’s ongoing US$9 billion cloud infrastructure investment in Singapore through 2028. The facility is set to engage over 1,000 senior executives annually, while also welcoming 200 students from Singapore’s tertiary institutions for exclusive hands-on learning experiences.

The Innovation Hub features hybrid demos—both virtual and physical—co-developed with AWS customers and partners to address pressing business challenges. These innovations are readily deployable, enabling organizations across the region to scale their digital journeys effectively.

Building upon AWS’s global innovation offerings such as the AWS Builders Studio in Melbourne and the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, the new Singapore Hub becomes a key part of a growing global ecosystem. This ecosystem also includes AWS Gen AI Lofts—pop-up, collaborative spaces that promote AI adoption—which visited Bengaluru and Seoul in 2024, with Bengaluru and Osaka slated for 2025.

“Technological innovation is critical to the growth of Asia, and we need innovation to transform customer experiences while also delivering real business value,” said Jaime Vallés, Vice President, AWS Asia Pacific & Japan. “The AWS Innovation Hub empowers our customers to convert big ideas into real business outcomes by combining our comprehensive cloud and AI technology, proven expertise from our network of over 140,000 partners worldwide, and Amazon’s unique culture of innovation. Here at the Hub, our customers can build practical roadmaps to solve the region’s most pressing challenges and opportunities in collaboration with AWS. From smart farming and personalized retail to emergency response and digitalized citizen services – the opportunities are endless, and we are excited to help accelerate the pace of digital innovation for the region.”

A Bespoke Innovation Experience for Executives

The AWS Innovation Hub is the first of its kind globally, offering customized innovation journeys based on specific organizational challenges. Visitors progress through three zones—Aspiration, Acceleration, and Action—each designed to inspire, educate, and equip them with a tailored digital transformation roadmap.

In the Aspiration Zone, visitors engage with advanced technologies like generative AI, quantum computing, and virtual reality to explore their impact on businesses and society. The Acceleration Zone highlights Amazon’s innovation culture and cutting-edge infrastructure, including AWS Graviton, Inferentia, Trainium chips, and AWS Outposts, which extend AWS infrastructure to on-premises or edge environments.

The journey culminates in the Action Zone at the Working Backwards Studio, where the Vision Builder tool—powered by Amazon Nova generative AI models—translates executive discussions into actionable transformation roadmaps. Amazon Nova delivers industry-leading performance and intelligence, and is accessible via Amazon Bedrock.

Showcasing the Future of Technology in APAC

Innovation at the Hub is designed to evolve continuously, keeping pace with emerging technology trends and regional business needs. Featured demos include:

  • Netatech’s AI-Verified Fresh Produce: An AI-powered, zero-waste farm-to-table system developed in Singapore that leverages intelligent phenotyping, autonomous farming, and hyperspectral grading.

  • E-bike Smart Factory: A demonstration of AWS-powered digital twin and IoT technologies addressing common challenges in manufacturing, such as inventory shortages and production delays.

  • ST Engineering’s AGIL Trust: An AI suite combating misinformation with tools for deepfake detection, rapid fact-checking, and scalable narrative analysis—now available on AWS.

  • Goldman Sachs GS DAP®: A blockchain-based platform redefining how financial instruments are issued and managed, improving transparency and efficiency in capital markets.

  • Project Kuiper: A model rocket from Amazon’s satellite initiative aimed at delivering affordable broadband to underserved communities worldwide.

  • Amazon Rufus: A generative AI shopping assistant currently live in the U.S., India, and Japan, trained on vast product data to guide customer decisions through contextual conversations.

  • Amazon Hercules Robot Drive: A fulfillment center robot designed to boost workplace safety, efficiency, and productivity—part of the over 750,000 robots deployed across Amazon operations globally.

In addition to technology showcases, AWS Innovation Hub will also spotlight partner solutions.

“We are excited for leaders across APAC to experience the AWS Innovation Hub and Deloitte’s suite of generative AI solutions tailored to the needs of legal and regulatory agencies, to empower them with greater productivity,” said Lee Chew Chiat, Deloitte Singapore Technology & Transformation Leader. “AWS and Deloitte have been working together for over seven years to help organizations turn ideas into solutions that drive real-world impact across various industries – from health care and life sciences to financial services, manufacturing and the public sector. We look forward to continuing to support leaders in achieving their strategic visions based on a clear understanding of what the latest innovations can offer and how they can deliver meaningful impact and create lasting value.”

The AWS Innovation Hub in Singapore sets a new benchmark for how enterprises and institutions can experience, co-create, and scale technology-driven innovation across the region.
