Hololight is exhibiting its app management platform ‘Hololight Hub’ at AWE 2024, which can host, stream, and scale augmented reality and virtual reality applications.

Businesses will be able to use this web-based platform to manage XR applications, such Frontline, Arthur, Matsuko, Taqtile, and Uptale.

As well as being granted seamless access to stream the XR apps, users will also gain the performance and security features contained within the Hololight Hub.

The immersive software and technologies provider is displaying the Hololight Hub today at this year’s Augmented World Expo (AWE); a conference and exhibition of the latest augmented reality, virtual reality, and wearable technology.

Florian Haspinger, CEO and Co-Founder of Hololight, explains how Hololight Hub has become a comprehensive solution: “While our streaming technology has always been a significant technological advantage, it is merely a component of the bigger picture.

“Recognising that some companies seek comprehensive solutions rather than standalone technologies, Hololight Hub now offers an end-to-end solution.

“By bringing together leading XR applications from independent software vendors (ISVs) and enterprise-developed XR applications on one platform, we are building an ecosystem of XR applications that address enterprise-level use cases such as design and engineering, training, remote assistance, and front-line worker support.”

Haspinger continued: “By integrating our streaming technology, partners benefit from enhanced performance and security, as sensitive industrial data remains on the server side.”

‘Ground-Breaking’

Described in Hololight’s related press release as “ground-breaking”, its new XR streaming platform has been updated to provide an all-in-one platform via its XR app ecosystem so that it can offer more than streaming technology alone.

The Hololight Hub is powered by Hololight’s streaming technology and includes an entire ecosystem of enterprise XR applications that includes big-name industry partners.

Last week, in fact, Hololight announced a new partnership with the renowned spatial computing work assistance tools provider, Taqtile. This will allow Hololight to leverage Taqtile’s digital work instruction and remote spatial collaboration technologies alongside its own powerful XR streaming capabilities.

AWE attendees will now be able to see the Hololight Hub in action, alongside demos from Taqtile and Frontline.

What is Hololight Hub?

Hololight Hub is an orchestration platform that lets you host, manage, and stream AR and VR applications to mobile, whether from the cloud or on-premises servers.

Key features that the Hololight Hub has to offer, include bringing together all of your XR apps into a single platform so that app management is centralised, distribution is simplified, and employees have easy access over multiple devices.

IT workloads will also be reduced by having centralised view of all AR and VR apps.

XR apps can be streamed in high quality and on-demand to give users an immersive and engaging AR experience.

From a security perspective, data is not stored on end devices, instead it can be securely managed from a central location on networks controlled by your business.

In November last year, Hololight announced it had received $12 million in funding to help launch its Hololight Hub.

It has also secured partnerships with key industrial heavyweights such as Amazon Web Services, NVIDIA, Verizon, Qualcomm, and many more.
