Related stories

TeamViewer has announced important updates to its integration with Microsoft Intune, with the goal of facilitating the management of remote devices and boosting the efficiency of operations for IT departments in enterprises. The updated integration brings TeamViewer’s enterprise solution, TeamViewer Tensor, closer to Microsoft’s endpoint management solution. This way, IT administrators can manage and support devices without having to use multiple tools. The updates include the synchronization of devices between TeamViewer and Microsoft Intune. This way, IT administrators can have a real-time view of devices, reducing the need to configure devices separately. The solution allows for unattended remote access to devices running important operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Android. The solution extends the ability for remote connections to Microsoft Intune devices even if the Company Portal app is not installed. Additionally, the solution’s integration with security measures such as Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) and identity services via Microsoft Entra ID enables the secure access of credentials for privileged access and the implementation of conditional access for remote sessions.

This enhances the security posture of the enterprise while ensuring compliance with various regulations. At the same time, the integration enables the execution of remote support within the existing governance model. This enhances the overall governance of the enterprise’s operations while boosting productivity. “IT teams are under constant pressure to do more with less,” said Alfredo Patron, Executive Vice President, Global Partner Ecosystem and Channels at TeamViewer. “Our new integration between TeamViewer Tensor and Microsoft Intune removes friction from everyday IT management, enhances enterprise-grade security, and enables faster, more efficient remote support at scale. It allows IT teams to focus on strategic priorities while keeping employees productive.” The enhanced integration is currently available in private preview for selected enterprise customers and partners, with wider availability expected in the coming weeks. With these updates, TeamViewer seeks to enable organizations to simplify the management of devices, security, and faster IT support in the increasingly hybrid and distributed workforce, further underscoring the value of integrated digital workplaces within the enterprise IT landscape.
