Keysight Technologies has launched two 1.6T Ethernet testing solutions for validating AI data centers and hyperscale networking, known as SERT 1600GE and AresONE Plus 1600GE. SERT 1600GE can be used for validating switch fabrics and edge routers of next-generation AI data centers, whereas AresONE Plus 1600GE is designed to perform high-density switching validation and AI workload emulations. The AresONE Plus 1600GE platform offers 1.6T Ethernet capability by providing eight 1.6T Ethernet ports in a compact 2U device. A total of 12.8T line-rate traffic at 64 bytes, 224G SerDes, and different configurable ports are supported by this platform. Both solutions provide compatibility protocols like BGP, ECMP, VXLAN, and SONiC, and therefore provide interoperability, performance, routing, and control plane testing.

AresONE Plus is also compatible with the Keysight AI Data Center Builder software, which is useful in the emulation of AI mix of experts workloads, in addition to validating RoCEv2, congestion management, and Ultra Ethernet Consortium technologies. “AI factories require an Ethernet fabric designed for accelerated computing, and NVIDIA Spectrum-X provides the performance, predictability and control needed to keep large-scale AI workloads running efficiently. Keysight’s validation capabilities help engineering teams emulate realistic AI traffic and test Spectrum-X-based fabrics before deployment, reducing time to market,” said NVIDIA’s Gilad Shainer, Senior Vice President of Networking. The launch aims to help engineering teams validate increasingly complex AI networking systems across development and deployment stages.
