The introduction of Aktana Copilot provides greater value to field workers by delivering world-class information on mobile phones and synchronizing CRM and content in real-time

Aktana, Inc., the leader in intelligent customer engagement for the global life sciences industry, announced the acquisition of Tact.ai’s Field Engagement and Conversational AI technology. With this expansion, Aktana extends its leadership in field intelligence by providing several new features commonly requested by commercial and medical leaders overseeing omnichannel programs:

  • Real-time delivery of suggestions and insights on mobile
  • Ubiquitous and on-demand recommendations across the entire user experience, including a conversational AI assistant
  • Richer engagement data to improve AI recommendations

“Today’s sales rep or MSL needs to do more in less time and with fewer resources than ever before and needs instant access to the best information on their favorite device, mobile,” said John Vitalie, CEO of Aktana. “Adding aspects of Tact.ai’s mobile technology and user-friendly interface to the Aktana portfolio will accelerate our customers’ efforts to create the next generation of field workers, driven by intelligence and capable of managing every channel to utilize support from their healthcare providers.”

“Tact.ai is committed to building human-friendly technology that connects life sciences companies and their customers to help patients who cannot wait,” said Chuck Ganapathi, CEO of Tact.ai. “Crucial to this mission is a system of intelligence that supports every interaction. As a pioneer in this category and with Tact.ai’s technology, Aktana is now even better positioned to lead this journey into the future of customer engagement.”

Introducing Aktana Copilot

Aktana today announced Aktana Copilot, a mobile AI assistant for life sciences users based on Tact.ai technology. Aktana Copilot is designed specifically to meet the needs of field staff and medical-scientific liaisons, giving these users market and HCP information at the moment they need it.

Field teams receive real-time, programmable and intelligent alerts on mobile devices to simplify call scheduling and better personalize and coordinate activities. Additionally, the recommendations are presented throughout the user experience through conversational AI, saving valuable time that can be used to build relationships with doctors.

With Aktana Copilot, customers can capture richer and more tailored interaction data, enabling Aktana AI to create more contextual and effective recommendations for users to drive better conversations. The dynamic feedback loop improves time-to-value because the speed at which recommendations improve, so does campaign performance.

“With today’s announcements, we deepen our commitment to transforming customer loyalty programs for life sciences companies of all sizes,” said Derek Choy, founder and chief product officer of Aktana. “The Strategy Suite , which we introduced at the Aktana Innovation Exchange last month, is expanded with Aktana Copilot, providing a real-time connection between business leaders and the field. This can be used to gain feedback from practice on tactics that are impacting their HCPs and to guide practice toward tactics proven to have the greatest impact.”

Aktana Copilot is already available worldwide today and will be expanded by 2024 for specific use cases in the pharmaceutical, medical affairs and medical device sectors. Aktana will also offer Microsoft Teams users a version of Tact Presenter, which is the only Microsoft Teams certified remote detailer for Veeva content.
