Industrial AI innovator Magentic has closed an $18 million Series A financing round, securing new growth capital just one year after launching its autonomous AI digital worker platform.
The investment round was led by venture firm Felicis, with continued participation from seed investors Sequoia Capital and The Westly Group. Founded by alumni from McKinsey and OpenAI, Magentic develops multi-agent AI systems engineered to operate directly inside the complex software environments of enterprise manufacturers.
Scaling Autonomous Operations in the Physical Economy
Global supply chains and manufacturing organizations face compounding operational headwinds, including geopolitical shifts, tariff pressures, escalating material costs, and shrinking operational budgets. Magentic addresses these challenges by deploying autonomous digital workers that manage supply chain, procurement, and spend management workflows alongside human teams.
Unlike conventional enterprise software that relies on standalone dashboards, Magentic’s multi-agent digital workers interface directly through native corporate channels including Microsoft Teams, corporate email, legacy ERP systems, and internal databases. These AI agents handle end-to-end operational functions, ranging from vendor evaluation and contract negotiations to purchase execution and invoice reconciliation.
