Eisai Launches Medidata Clinical Data Studio to Advance Innovation in Clinical Trial Efficiency and Patient Experience

Medidata

Medidata , a Dassault Systèmes brand and leading provider of clinical trial solutions to the life sciences industry, announced that Eisai Inc, the U.S. pharmaceutical subsidiary of Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Tokyo) , has become one of the first customers to adopt the recently released AI-driven Medidata Clinical Data Studio . Eisai will leverage the innovative data experience in Clinical Data Studio to manage clinical data in unprecedented ways, efficiently operate scalable and complex clinical trials, and enhance the patient experience.

“We chose to incorporate Medidata Clinical Cloud into our clinical trial management platform because it breaks down data silos, integrates seamlessly into our existing software stack, and ensures data quality and integrity from all sources,” said Shobha Dhadda, Ph.D., Chief Clinical Science and Operations Officer at Eisai. “Having a technology solution that can handle multiple and diverse clinical and patient data types improves efficiency without sacrificing quality or adding additional resources.”

Clinical Data Studio is based on the Medidata Platform, a unified platform for clinical trial data management, which covers all data sources and improves data reliability across the entire clinical trial ecosystem. By seamlessly integrating data from Medidata (including Medidata Rave EDC ) and non-Medata (such as laboratories or other electronic data collection systems), Clinical Data Studio simplifies the data import process and enables automatic verification through configured data transfer protocols. It uses artificial intelligence to solve the challenges brought by different data systems and speed up data review by 80%. At the same time, it provides a comprehensive view of patient data, enabling simultaneous data review, visualization, and follow-up action deployment.

“With Clinical Data Studio, Eisai’s healthcare teams can overcome the complexity of modern clinical trials and improve collaboration by gaining access to cleaner, more actionable data,” said Janet Butler, executive vice president, global sales, Medidata. “With a unified data management and statistical analysis experience driven by AI, research teams will identify potential data issues faster and gain more accurate insights into their patients.”
