Quest Software, a global leader in data management, cybersecurity, and platform modernization, announced a new company strategy alongside a unified, automated, and seamless data management platform aimed at helping customers thrive in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Built around three core priorities trusted AI-ready data, secure identities, and platform modernization this strategy underscores Quest’s commitment to innovation, growth, and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of enterprises worldwide. The company also introduced a refreshed brand identity reflecting this forward-looking vision.

Recent industry research underscores the challenges organizations face in AI adoption. A study by MIT found that 95 percent of generative AI (GenAI) pilots fail, while Gartner reports that nearly one-third of GenAI projects are abandoned after proof-of-concept, emphasizing the need for robust data foundations. Quest’s new erwin Data Management Platform addresses this gap with unified AI-enabled capabilities that enhance data accuracy and enable enterprises to create trusted data products 54 percent faster than before. The fully integrated platform automates key steps in data management, including dynamic trust scoring, enabling organizations to use and reuse trusted data products efficiently within their data marketplaces.

Enterprises today struggle with fragmented, siloed, and underutilized data, compounded by niche tools not designed for AI demands. The erwin platform leverages generative AI to simplify operations, unifying critical capabilities such as data quality, data modeling, metadata management, and data governance into a single platform. By breaking down silos, the platform allows organizations to produce trusted, ready-to-use data products, accelerating time-to-market, improving productivity, and enhancing overall data accuracy.

“AI is driving the need for a dramatically new approach to data management. Working closely with our customers, including more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500, has given us deep insights into their challenges and requirements,” said Tim Page, CEO of Quest Software. “The erwin Data Management Platform is the first-of-its-kind to deliver improved data accuracy and faster time to data product delivery to the marketplace – a game-changer for our customers.”

Quest is advancing its AI capabilities across its product suite, ensuring customers can move seamlessly from generative to agentic AI. Alongside trusted data products, the company addresses critical identity security challenges with AI-powered Quest Security Guardian Intelligence, enhancing Microsoft identity threat detection and response to quickly identify and mitigate both human and non-human threats.

The company’s refreshed brand identity, coupled with a $350 million investment to accelerate AI research and development, demonstrates Quest’s commitment to innovation. The recently expanded executive team, including Ashish Joshi, President & CFO; John Bertero, Chief Revenue Officer; and Maureen Perrelli, Chief Channel Officer, joins Tim Page, named CEO in January, to drive growth and customer-centric strategies.

Quest Software’s strategy centers on three key pillars for AI success:

  1. Trusted AI-ready data at scale and speed – The erwin Data Management Platform enables enterprises to improve data accuracy and create reliable data products faster, meeting AI demands.

  2. AI-powered cybersecurity and resilience – Quest safeguards critical identities across Active Directory and Entra ID, automates ransomware recovery up to 90 percent faster, and mitigates risks across the attack lifecycle.

  3. Modernized platforms for AI readiness – Leveraging decades-long partnership with Microsoft, Quest accelerates seamless migration and modernization of identities, workloads, and devices, achieving Microsoft 365 Certification for its migration capabilities.

By combining these initiatives, Quest Software is positioned to empower enterprises to securely scale AI capabilities, modernize operations, and achieve measurable business impact.
