Arctera, a global leader in data management, announced a collaboration with Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions. With this collaboration, Arctera InfoScale™ is now certified on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, delivering a fully integrated full-stack application resilience solution for virtualized and containerized mission-critical operations.

Arctera InfoScale running on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization delivers a simplified path forward for data resilience as organizations modernize applications. Organizations can now modernize beyond traditional hypervisors, like VMware, and more confidently run mission-critical workloads in Red Hat OpenShift, without needing to rebuild or redesign their storage backends. This extension of resilience enables more seamless failover, enhanced ransomware cyber recovery, and unified protection across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.

Modernization with greater confidence

This certification brings real-time data and application, resilience, security capabilities, and availability to both virtual machines (VMs) and containers on a unified, scalable platform, built for today’s hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Sachin Mullick, Director of Product Management, Red Hat said: “The collaboration with Arctera InfoScale on Red Hat OpenShift brings simplified data management with its approach of combining traditional enterprise storage capabilities with cloud-native principles for multiple use cases that require persistent storage. We are excited to see that customers have the flexibility to leverage these capabilities across local storage and their pre-existing investments in traditional block storage especially for running VMs in OpenShift Virtualization.”

Bhooshan Thakar, Vice President and General Manager, Data Resilience, Arctera, said: “Where some solutions deliver a single layer of protection for an application, Arctera delivers full-stack resilience. This collaboration with Red Hat is a declaration that resilience, availability, and security are non-negotiable in modern infrastructure.”

InfoScale and Red Hat OpenShift Modernize Mission Critical Applications

● Unified Resilience for Kubernetes and Virtualization

With InfoScale on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, users can manage and protect virtual machines and containers in a single plane without bolt-on tools to manage data defense, replication, snapshots, and recovery across Kubernetes and virtualization layers. Users are able to run mission critical monoliths alongside cloud-native microservices with confidence and full application aware response.

● Hybrid Cloud Data Management

Designed with Virtualization and Kubernetes-native operations in mind, InfoScale on RedOpenShift Virtualization, helps ensure that security and availability are core components of your hybrid cloud strategy. From persistent storage to disaster recovery, all data layers benefit from unified management and automation. Certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE 15 and validated for AWS, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure, InfoScale makes multi-cloud resilience the standard, not the exception.

● Application Aware Response and Recovery

Minimize downtime with intelligent application aware response that understands business services, infrastructure, and data dependencies. Consistently restore full-service functionality, reducing downtime for enterprise hybrid applications.

● Full-Stack Protection

Achieve consistent protection, recovery, and governance across Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and cloud platforms empowering teams to move faster without risk. Break off VM or app data mirrors, isolate volumes for malware scanning, and recover fast using custom-scripted or automated fire drill simulations with no impact to production.
