Penguin Solutions, an AI Factory Platform provider that designs, builds, and manages next-generation artificial intelligence data center infrastructure globally, has been selected by Lektra to deploy and optimize its AI micro data centers. Under the partnership, Penguin Solutions will supply validated reference architectures, AI-optimized compute infrastructure, and expert-led technical services to support the rollout and scaling of Lektra’s distributed EdgeScale™ AI data centers.
Lektra operates as a cloud infrastructure provider operating patented AI data centers powered by distributed, carbon-free energy sources designed to run at capacities of 20 MW or less. With eight operational locations and an expanding pipeline, Lektra’s EdgeScale architecture positions AI computing resources in strategic, high-demand areas. This approach shortens deployment timelines from years to months while providing scalable, on-demand capacity. By aligning AI workload requirements with localized power availability, the solution addresses the power constraints and regulatory bottlenecks commonly facing traditional, large-scale data centers.
Through its Full-Stack AI Factory Platform, Penguin Solutions delivers NVIDIA-accelerated hardware alongside customized engineering expertise to integrate high-performance computing servers into Lektra’s modular framework. Acting as an NVIDIA AI Factory Specialized Partner, Penguin Solutions manages remote site installations and provides ongoing managed operational support. This framework allows cloud service providers, neoclouds, utility companies, commercial solar operators, and host facility partners to scale GPU capacity in cost-effective, incremental phases.
