You.com announced the successful closing of its Series C funding round, securing $100 million at a valuation of $1.5 billion. The round was led by Cox Enterprises and included participation from existing investors Georgian, Salesforce Ventures, and Norwest. The company is also pleased to welcome David Yang, from Socium Ventures (a venture and growth investment fund launched by Cox Enterprises), to its Board.

You.com has built the highways of the agentic era: a platform that integrates multiple data sources, selects the right model for each task, and delivers accurate, trusted results at enterprise scale. With its APIs and end-to-end solutions, the company is on a mission to help every organization move from experimentation to transformation.

Building Trusted AI for the Enterprise

When ChatGPT launched in November 2022, people began to understand the potential of large language models. However, the issue of knowledge cutoffs quickly became evident. In December of that year, You.com addressed this by connecting LLMs to live web data with verifiable citations.

As the company nearly eliminated hallucinations and built trustworthy AI, other companies began requesting those same capabilities. This led to the inception of You.com’s APIs and marked the start of its transition into an AI infrastructure provider.

You.com also emphasizes enterprise-grade features including privacy and security through zero data retention, model flexibility ensuring future-proof access to new models, and complete data access blending private internal data with live public web data enabling AI agents to mirror expert reasoning and therefore build trust at enterprise scale.

Scale, Accuracy, and Enterprise Reach

You.com currently processes over one billion queries per month via its API, serving clients across technology, e-commerce, financial services, media, manufacturing, hospitality, and more. Among its enterprise clients are DuckDuckGo, Windsurf, and Harvey.

Independent benchmarks demonstrate that You.com outperforms leading alternatives like Bing’s API and Google’s Search API and does so with greater accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness.

Flexible Solutions for Developers and Enterprises

You.com offers tailored approaches depending on the stage of the customer’s AI journey:

  • For developers seeking fast, accurate APIs: You.com’s composable infrastructure includes web and news search at various accuracy-speed levels, deep research synthesizing hundreds of sources with top-tier accuracy, image search, private RAG systems, and custom agent capabilities informed by over 100,000 agents built on the platform in the past 12 months.

  • For enterprises requiring comprehensive solutions: You.com partners with teams to design and build AI applications customized to specific workflows. The company has delivered custom AI agents for major organizations in news, finance, retail, and health, collectively serving billions of end users.

AI models are incredibly capable, but they require the right infrastructure to reach their full potential. You.com likens its role to building the highways before self-driving cars existed without these highways, agents cannot travel far or fast.

The company encourages interested parties to obtain API keys, engage with its enterprise team, or consider a career with You.com.
