AMD and Arena to Large-Scale First AI Testing Solution to Improve Performance Optimizations for Next-Generation GPUs

Arena, a developer of AI core models, announced a collaboration to expand AMD’s deployment of Arena Atlas, the industry’s leading testing and monitoring product. The world’s AI optimization for the latest process node semiconductor technology.

During 2023, AMD and Arena piloted Atlas for testing and optimization of the AMD Radeon TM GPU . By quickly and autonomously identifying power and performance optimizations, AMD engineers can focus on other tasks, increasing productivity and accelerating product development. Atlas facilitates the use of AI in the semiconductor configuration and testing process, enabling consumers and professionals to have better, faster devices.

Atlas is able to interpret multimodal data beyond standard text and video, such as power curves, thermal profiles, and streaming HD video, to better understand the behavior of a complex GPU. This allows Atlas to perform testing and tuning autonomously, reducing the workload on engineers and helping to accelerate certain aspects of the new product schedule. “What we have proven with Atlas for testing is just the beginning,” said Pratap Ranade, co-founder and CEO of Arena. In the future, Atlas may also help with debugging, root cause analysis, and ultimately the design of better chips and other complex electronic products. »

“In addition to giving our customers the latest capabilities to leverage the full power of AI in their businesses and industries, AMD is committed to leveraging advanced AI technologies internally to improve processes and , ultimately providing better solutions to our customers, added Andrej Zdravkovic, senior vice president and head of software at AMD. Atlas helps streamline the time-consuming and manual process of configuring and testing today’s complex GPU technologies, giving our engineers a head start to maximize next-generation product optimizations.
