Work AI leader Glean introduced the third-generation Glean Assistant an AI extension designed to transform how employees work. The new assistant offers deep personalization and agentic intelligence, enabling each employee to receive tailored results and accomplish complex tasks without the need for advanced prompt engineering. Alongside this, Glean announced major enhancements to its Work AI platform, including new SDKs and MCP capabilities that provide enterprises with the openness, interoperability, and contextual intelligence required to build, extend, and operationalize AI agents at scale.

Central to these advancements is Glean’s newly expanded Enterprise Graph, which serves as the core intelligence layer for enterprise AI. By mapping relationships between people, content, workflows, and applications, the Enterprise Graph combines company-wide knowledge with a personal graph for each employee. This dynamic context layer allows AI to understand not just systems, but the way work happens across teams, projects, and individuals, ensuring more accurate, efficient, and autonomous outcomes.

Glean Assistant: Personalized, Contextual, and Agentic

Unlike generic AI assistants that provide surface-level answers, Glean Assistant offers advanced personalization and contextual awareness. It understands employees’ goals, develops plans, and executes multi-step tasks while adapting to evolving needs eliminating the fatigue of prompt engineering.

  • Personal: Each employee benefits from a personal graph that reflects their tasks, collaborators, and work style. Glean Assistant also adapts to individual tone-of-voice, creating content for emails, documents, and messages that feels natural and authentic. The new Canvas workspace further allows inline content editing and skill development, making polished output achievable for writers and non-writers alike. Employees can control response speed, depth, and preferred LLM family to suit specific tasks.

  • Agentic: Powered by Glean’s second-generation Agentic Engine, Glean Assistant reasons through complex challenges, orchestrates sub-agents for parallel tasks, and consolidates knowledge across enterprise and web sources. It asks clarifying questions when context is missing, adapts its approach, and produces complete, actionable results without requiring users to construct elaborate prompts.

Enhanced Platform Capabilities for Powerful AI Agents

Glean also expanded its platform to enable enterprises to build and deploy more capable AI agents. Features include:

  • Intuitive agent creation with vibe coding, allowing anyone not just developers to design and refine agents.

  • Support for 100+ new native actions across enterprise applications, including Slack, Microsoft, Salesforce, GitHub, and Google.

  • MCP directory and host support with 20+ validated servers and the ability to integrate custom hosts for expanded collaboration and data access.

  • Full openness and interoperability, giving developers flexibility in models, frameworks, and tools while maintaining governance and security.

  • APIs and SDKs that embed Glean Assistant’s personalization and reasoning capabilities into third-party applications and workflows.

“The future of work is the superintelligent enterprise, where AI understands people and organizations deeply enough to transform how work gets done. At Glean, we’ve built the Enterprise Graph to make that future real, giving Glean Assistant the context to act as a true teammate. With today’s announcements, Glean is setting a new standard for AI at work assistants that are deeply personal and adapt to every employee, and powerful, interoperable agents that drive work forward with trust and reliability.” – Arvind Jain, Founder & CEO, Glean

“Enterprise adoption of agentic AI is becoming a strategic pillar for CIOs seeking to modernize workflows and rethink productivity at scale. What distinguishes Glean’s latest assistant and platform evolution is not just the technical sophistication, but the emphasis on personalization, interoperability, and outcome-driven orchestration. This signals a shift from isolated use cases to scalable agentic intelligence embedded directly into enterprise systems, a core tenet of where enterprise AI is heading.” – Nick Patience, VP & Practice Lead, AI Platforms, Futurum.
