CBTS, an organization specializing in technology solutions, has made strides in expanding its presence among enterprises by acquiring Recovery Point Systems, a renowned enterprise that specializes in offering complete Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and cyber resilience solutions designed specifically for enterprise IT operations.
This strategic acquisition brings enterprise level DRaaS into the suite of CBTS solutions. The acquisition involves fiber-dense data centers which also form the basis for the data center collocation services offered by Recovery Point. This allows enterprise clients to leverage their infrastructure hosting, cyber resilience, and disaster recovery solutions from the partnership.

As enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence workloads accelerates data growth and heightens infrastructure demands, organizations increasingly require secure, resilient environments without incurring heavy capital expenditure investments.
“Resilience is now a board-level obligation, not an IT project. With Recovery Point, CBTS delivers what enterprises increasingly demand: a trusted partner who can modernize their infrastructure, secure it, and recover it end-to-end, under pressure, with measurable outcomes,” said CBTS CEO Kristin Russell. “We didn’t acquire Recovery Point to add a service line. We acquired them because the future of enterprise technology requires it.”
Bridging the Security and Recovery Gap for AI-Ready Infrastructure
Cybersecurity threats have become multifaceted in nature for modern businesses through their SaaS platforms, multi-cloud infrastructure, development of applications from outside channels, and AI solutions. This makes it inevitable that even a small downtime can cause operational disruptions within the organization. It is seen from the data that almost 30% of enterprises take over 24 hours in solving any security breach problem. This highlights the difference between fast cyber threat and the recovery ability.
CBTS and Recovery Point Systems together help overcome all such operational challenges with the provision of a set of capabilities in cloud services of enterprises, AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, and recovery.
Critical Capabilities Offered by the Conjoined Portfolio:
- Tier III Infrastructure: Data center facilities that are owned, operated, and capable of expansion, forming a reliable base for hosting and recovery.
- DRaaS Management: Managed disaster recovery services incorporating orchestrated execution and SLA metrics.
- Ransomware Recovery as a Service (RRaaS): State-of-the-art recovery techniques made better by automated AI backup validation.
- Environmentally Resilient: Protection from cyber threats in legacy mainframe, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Testability: Built-in tests and recoveries that take place regularly.
“Recovery Point was built to deliver fully managed and orchestrated recovery for the environments enterprises depend on most,” said Jack Dziak, CEO, Recovery Point Systems. “With CBTS, our clients gain access to a full range of enterprise technology platforms, and CBTS gains a proven partner in cyber resilience. Together, we set a new standard for what clients can expect from a single trusted provider.”
Financial terms of the agreement were not publicly disclosed. Bank Street Group LLC acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Recovery Point Systems during the acquisition process.
