This collaboration is set to broaden enterprise access to Google BigQuery the autonomous data-to-AI platform enabling millions of information workers to derive insights directly where data resides.
Organizations have been standardizing increasingly on cloud data platforms for analytics and artificial intelligence. One of the long-standing problems that has been constantly challenging the organizations is bridging the gap between where the data is stored and how it is prepared, governed, and operationalized. The long-standing relationship between Alteryx and Google Cloud was formed to address this problem by offering credible analytics workflows to the users of BigQuery and thus, reducing the distance between data and business action without sacrificing trust and scalability.
A centerpiece of this expanded collaboration is the general availability of Live Query for BigQuery. This capability allows both business and IT users to develop and execute analytics workflows directly within BigQuery eliminating the need for data movement. The in-place execution model makes cloud architecture simpler and provides high-performance analytics with governance and security maintained at scale.
To further extend the support to Google Cloud customers, Alteryx will launch Alteryx One: Google Edition, which is a Google Cloud-optimized version of its industry-leading analytics platform available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Alteryx One: Google Edition comes with native connectivity to key Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Google Sheets, and Google Drive, enabling teams to ready, analyze, and automate insights on Google Cloud data.
Live Query for BigQuery brings several key advantages:
• Direct Data Interaction: Business users interact directly with full-fidelity BigQuery data sources via an easy-to-use no-code interface, readying, processing, and analyzing data without SQL or extracts.
• Governed Workflow Automation: Analytics workflows developed in Alteryx One are executed within Google Cloud, taking advantage of BigQuery’s security and speed with centralized governance.
• Enterprise-Ready Scale: The in-place approach handles large data sources at warehouse scale, minimizing shadow pipelines and unmanaged extracts.
