Trackonomy, the leader in dynamic enterprise resource planning, has officially launched its Sentient AI platform at the DeveloperWeek 2025 Hackathon. The platform provides developers with powerful tools to build and deploy AI-driven solutions for mission-critical environments while leveraging Trackonomy’s suite of breakthrough hardware solutions that seamlessly fit the real world, including the industry’s first portfolio of low-cost smart labels with built-in cellular connectivity – battle-tested at scale for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.

The Sentient AI platform unifies people, equipment, and units of commerce to autonomously and proactively solve problems before they escalate. While Trackonomy has largely operated in stealth mode, its technology is already driving significant impact – orchestrating over 10 million shipments daily, reducing airplane turnaround times, improving patient outcomes in hospitals, and assisting the U.S. government in curbing illegal imports. With Sentient AI, Trackonomy has dramatically increased innovation velocity and expanded its ability to serve more customers.

Trackonomy redefines the traditional server-farm-based AI paradigm by embedding artificial intelligence directly into physical objects. This shift gives businesses unprecedented micro-level process visibility, dynamic workflow orchestration, autonomous intervention, and planning capabilities, all of which optimize efficiency, reduce risks, and proactively address challenges with very high responsiveness before they escalate.

The platform provides a secure and controlled environment for building enterprise-grade AI applications, incorporating robust security, data integrity, rapid third-party integrations, comprehensive compliance and governance capabilities. Sentient AI extends intelligence across bare-metal firmware, hardware, mobile, and cloud environments – seamlessly unifying enterprise resources from shop floor to top floor. Sentient is designed to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven automation at scale.

“Our distributed agent-based intelligent shield paradoxically plans the unplannable,” said Dr. Erik Volkerink, Co-Founder and CEO at Trackonomy. “We are now accelerating innovation and application velocity, enabling developers to build and deploy AI-driven solutions that create immediate value in places where uncertainty renders traditional static enterprise resource planning less valuable.”

Trackonomy introduced the Sentient AI platform at DeveloperWeek 2025, where over 5,000 developers gathered to tackle real-world challenges. The Trackonomy Hackathon Challenge showcased the potential of AI and IoT in transforming real-world operations, with developers leveraging Sentient to solve critical logistics, healthcare and supply chain challenges. Trackonomy awarded first place to a team whose solution prevents operational errors in cargo handling of livestock through geofencing, including a third-party integration. The second-place team implemented geospatial 3D mapping to detect hazards in pharmaceutical transportation, enabling preemptive action. The third-place winners created an interactive visualization tool for analytical insights of real world events.

“The talent we attract are some of the most brilliant professionals in very diverse disciplines, such as RF design, software, firmware, robotics, networking, operating systems, artificial intelligence, strategy consulting and ERP,” said Tina Beilicke, Head of HR & Recruitment at Trackonomy. “You rarely see this level of interdisciplinary engineering expertise under one roof at other companies. It’s inspiring to see how our culture and technology seamlessly integrate these capabilities, resulting in a unique platform that solves some of the world’s most complex challenges in a scalable, repeatable manner.”
