Definian has appointed Steve Lyerly as Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than two decades of experience in technology services, cloud, go-to-market strategy and strategic partnerships to the data and AI solutions company. His appointment became effective October 1, 2026.
Lyerly joins Definian after serving as Senior Vice President of Cloud Services at Insight Enterprises, where he led sales across Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ServiceNow solution lines. Before Insight, he spent seven years building and scaling Infocenter, a ServiceNow partner that was acquired by Insight in 2024. Under his leadership, Infocenter earned three ServiceNow Partner of the Year awards.
The leadership change comes as Definian looks to expand its capabilities across data, analytics and artificial intelligence. The company has strengthened its platform through three strategic acquisitions and is now focused on combining those capabilities with continued organic growth and additional strategic opportunities.

For Lyerly, the new role comes at a time when enterprises are under growing pressure to modernize complex data environments while preparing for AI adoption. Definian works across data migration, integration, governance, analytics and AI readiness, areas that are increasingly important as organizations move AI initiatives from experimentation toward production.
Lyerly said the company will continue investing in its data and AI capabilities, expanding technology partnerships and helping customers modernize their data environments and establish the governance needed to put AI to work.
He succeeds Craig Wood, who will transition to an executive advisory role while remaining a shareholder. Wood will continue supporting Definian as the company enters its next phase of growth.
The appointment positions Definian to further connect enterprise data modernization with AI readiness as businesses increasingly view trusted, governed data as a foundation for successful AI deployment.
