The regional cybersecurity market is also becoming more focused on proactive threat detection and incident response. As organizations expand their digital footprints, security teams must manage threats across increasingly distributed environments while maintaining visibility across critical systems.

For regional cybersecurity leaders, this creates a need to combine technology with local market knowledge, customer engagement and ecosystem relationships. Baimagambet’s new remit places those elements at the center of his work as he takes responsibility for CrowdStrike’s business across a geographically diverse market.

The appointment also reflects the broader expansion of cybersecurity leadership roles in emerging technology markets, where organizations are seeking stronger regional expertise to address increasingly complex digital risks.

As AI and cloud adoption accelerate across Central Asia and the Caucasus, cybersecurity providers are likely to place greater emphasis on regional strategies that address both evolving threats and the changing technology environments of local enterprises.
