Smith as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening its executive leadership as it expands its AI-powered reimbursement intelligence platform. Smith brings more than 25 years of experience building enterprise technology platforms across healthcare, SaaS, financial services, and payments. Before joining Aptarro, he served as CTO at UserTesting, where he led engineering and technology infrastructure initiatives. His previous leadership roles also include R1 RCM, VisitPay, Zapproved, Wolters Kluwer, ACTIVE Network, and ServiceU, giving him extensive expertise in developing scalable, high-availability software platforms.
The appointment comes as Aptarro continues evolving its platform to deliver intelligent decision support for healthcare providers and revenue cycle partners. By leveraging one of the industry’s largest reimbursement and payer behavior data libraries, the company aims to help healthcare organizations identify reimbursement patterns, reduce claim denials, and improve payment outcomes before recurring issues affect revenue. Smith will lead the technical foundation needed to deliver these capabilities securely, reliably, and at enterprise scale.
