Anthropic Raises $30 Billion in Series G Funding, Achieving $380 Billion Post-Money Valuation

Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company focused on enterprise-grade AI systems and developer tools, announced the successful closure of its Series G funding round, raising $30 billion and resulting in a $380 billion post-money valuation. The investment will support Anthropic’s continued expansion in frontier research, product innovation, and infrastructure development reinforcing its position as a market leader in enterprise AI and coding solutions.

The funding round was led by GIC and Coatue, with co-lead participation from D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX. A broad consortium of global investors also joined the round, including Accel, Addition, Alpha Wave Global, Altimeter, AMP PBC, Appaloosa LP, Baillie Gifford, Bessemer Venture Partners, affiliated funds of BlackRock, Blackstone, D1 Capital Partners, Fidelity Management & Research Company, General Catalyst, Greenoaks, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Insight Partners, Jane Street, JPMorgan Chase (through its Security and Resiliency Initiative and Growth Equity Partners), Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, NX1 Capital, Qatar Investment Authority, Sands Capital, Sequoia Capital, Temasek, TowerBrook, TPG, and Whale Rock Capital. The round also included previously announced investments from Microsoft and NVIDIA.

Anthropic’s Claude platform continues to see rapid commercial adoption. Over the past three years, Anthropic’s annualized revenue run-rate has grown more than 10-fold annually, reaching $14 billion. Enterprise use has expanded significantly: the number of customers with annualized spend exceeding $100,000 has increased sevenfold over the past year, and more than 500 enterprise customers now spend over $1 million annually. Eight of the Fortune 10 companies today rely on Claude for mission-critical work.

A key driver of growth has been Claude Code, Anthropic’s advanced agentic coding tool. Publicly launched in May 2025, Claude Code now generates over $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue more than doubling since the start of 2026 and weekly active users have doubled since January 1. Business subscriptions have quadrupled in the same period, with enterprise use now representing more than half of Claude Code’s revenue.

To further accelerate product innovation, Anthropic launched more than 30 products and features in January alone, including Cowork, which extends Claude Code’s engineering capabilities into broader knowledge-work domains with specialized plugins across sales, legal, and finance functions. The company also expanded Claude for Enterprise offerings in healthcare and life sciences, making them available to organizations operating under HIPAA compliance requirements.

Anthropic’s latest model, Opus 4.6, leads industry benchmarks on economically valuable knowledge-work tasks across finance, legal, and professional domains and enables AI agents capable of executing complex real-world workflows with professional quality outputs.

Anthropic will deploy the capital to scale global infrastructure and make Claude available on all major cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (Bedrock), Google Cloud (Vertex AI), and Microsoft Azure (Foundry) while training and running Claude models across diversified hardware, including AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs. This multi-platform strategy enhances performance, reliability, and availability for enterprise customers.
