Pudu Robotics , a global leader in service robotics, haslaunchedits first full-size bipedal humanoid robot, PUDU D9 . Developed by Pudu X-Lab , this innovative robot is the team’s third product this year, following the semi-humanoid robot PUDU D7 and the dexterous hand PUDU DH11 .

With a height of 170 cm and a weight of 65 kg, the PUDU D9 has 42 degrees of freedom at its joints and a maximum torque of 352 Nm. It is equipped with the already commercially available PUDU DH11 dexterous hand, which enables human-like bipedal walking and ambidextrous operation. In the demonstration video, the PUDU D9 showed its impressive mobility, including upright walking, obstacle navigation, climbing slopes and performing floor cleaning tasks with the PUDU SH1, another product from the PUDU product range.

With the goal of providing commercially viable embodied intelligence , the PUDU D9 will be available for pre-sale soon. Inquiries are currently being accepted via the official website of Pudu Robotics.

Designed with a human-centered philosophy, PUDU D9 embodies the principle of “Born to Serve .” As a fully anthropomorphic robot, its design closely follows human capabilities and provides practical support for a wide range of applications.

Main capabilities of PUDU D9:

  • Dynamic mobility:  With its bipedal structure, the PUDU D9 achieves a walking speed comparable to that of adults, up to 2 m/s on flat surfaces. It can easily negotiate stairs, slopes and other difficult urban terrains. Using advanced algorithms, the robot has a lightweight motion control that minimizes noise when operating in human environments. Its state-of-the-art visual semantic navigation system is equipped with high-precision sensors that enable real-time 3D semantic mapping, giving the D9 a comprehensive picture of its surroundings. This capability ensures accurate self-positioning and autonomous route planning.
  • Precise Manipulation:  The PUDU D9 is equipped with two 7-degree robotic arms and has a load capacity of over 20 kg. Combined with the PUDU DH11 dexterous hand, the robot is ideal for performing fine motor tasks in a wide range of applications. Thanks to years of research and development and proprietary reinforcement learning algorithms, the PUDU D9 is able to quickly learn from large data sets and effectively perform end-to-end task planning to meet various operational requirements.
  • Seamless natural interaction:  PUDU D9 has multiple high-precision visual and tactile force and auditory sensors to capture multimodal information from its environment. Through a sophisticated processing system that integrates advanced AI models, D9 achieves human-level multimodal, natural interactions, significantly improving the quality and responsiveness of the services provided.

With the launch of PUDU D9, Pudu Robotics has established a comprehensive product lineup that includes specialized, semi-humanoid and humanoid robots . On this robust foundation, the company provides commercially viable embodied intelligence and will actively explore innovations in the core areas of robot AI, mobility and operational technology.

As a global leader in commercial service robotics, Pudu Robotics continues to strive to put users’ needs first by building on its strong foundation in technology, product development, supply chain management and market channels. Felix Zhang , founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, emphasized: “Customer focus has always been one of PUDU’s core values. In the future, we will continue to explore technologies that are guided by our customers’ needs and problems. Our extensive experience in the commercial service sector will help accelerate the maturity of semi-humanoid and humanoid robots so that more people can enjoy the convenience of robot services.
