OMRON and Dassault Systèmes Forge Strategic Alliance to Modernize Industrial Production

Related stories

The strategic partnership between Dassault Systèmes and OMRON has been established to address the issue that has long existed between information technology and operational technology. Through the integration of Dassault Systèmes’ 3D EXPERIENCE platform and virtual twin with OMRON’s Sysmac industrial automation platform, there is an attempt to introduce new technologies for replacing current industrial technologies with more advanced and innovative technology based on artificial intelligence. The new technological solution allows for the virtual design, testing, and validation of production systems without any physical installation thanks to “Virtual Companions.” In this way, when the production system is operational, data obtained from the sensors and robots of OMRON’s Sysmac can be used by the virtual twin for maintenance and adjustments to avoid possible risks.

Highlighting the transformative nature of this union, Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes, stated, “Manufacturing is entering a new era. With OMRON, we are building living production systems, AI-driven, self-improving, and software-defined, where the virtual and physical worlds are fused into one continuous loop of learning. Our industry world models transform complexity into intelligence, making factories not just automated, but autonomous. This is how we reinvent industrial systems, from reactive to predictive, from rigid to adaptive and define the next frontier of manufacturing.” Echoing the sentiment of total integration, Motohiro Yamanishi, President of OMRON’s Industrial Automation Company, noted, “Our partnership with Dassault Systèmes strengthens our ability to integrate the OT and IT worlds and provide customers with a holistic solution from simulated to fully implemented, intelligent production.” At Hannover Messe 2026, the two companies are emphasizing this partnership as a prime illustration of how fusing the digital and physical worlds can help manufacturers not only survive but thrive in the increasingly competitive global market. That collaboration also represents a key step in the journey toward making self-operating factories a reality.
