Over the past six months, Azure Local has seen significant enhancements to support diverse industry needs, with notable adoption by enterprises like GSK for real-time AI inferencing in manufacturing and R&D environments.

Azure also continues to integrate AI into physical operations through its IoT platform and Microsoft Fabric, offering near-real-time insights for industries like manufacturing and energy, while adding features such as improved certificate management, expanded connectors, and advanced health monitoring for operational assets. Azure Arc introduces such capabilities as site-based resource organization, a Google Cloud connector for multi-cloud oversight, and enhancements for the security, policy enforcement, Kubernetes management, and secret storage of hybrid environments. Together, these innovations showcase Azure’s commitment to empowering organizations to modernize on their own terms, balancing agility with governance, and providing continuity even in disconnected environments, helping customers leverage AI and cloud technologies without sacrificing resiliency or compliance.
