In a strategic move aimed at redefining how enterprises manage modern workloads, Lightbits Labs (Lightbits) and Arctera announced a collaboration to demonstrate performance-optimised, resilient storage for Red Hat OpenShift at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2025 (Booth #1153). The demonstration features Lightbits’ software-defined NVMe-over-TCP storage integrated with Arctera’s InfoScale high-availability platform, delivering a unified, cost-efficient, high-performance foundation tailored for OpenShift’s virtualization, container and AI workloads. According to the companies, the joint solution enables “near-zero RTO and true zero RPO” resilience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, while reducing data-centre footprint by up to 80%.
Robert Terlizzi, Head of Product Marketing at Lightbits Labs, emphasised the collaboration’s value: “This collaboration showcases the power of open, software-defined infrastructure. By combining Lightbits’ NVMe/TCP storage with Arctera InfoScale’s proven HA capabilities, organisations can run AI, analytics, and virtualised workloads on OpenShift with the performance and resilience required for today’s most demanding applications.”

With traditional infrastructure focused on keeping hosts and VMs running, the Lightbits–Arctera partnership shifts the focus to application- and data-level resilience for OpenShift environments. The integrated platform simplifies management. It lets VMs, containers, and AI workloads run on one OpenShift foundation. It offers SAN-class high availability using standard Ethernet hardware. It also supports data-heavy AI workloads, both on-premises and in the public cloud. Companies will provide demos and expert consultations for conference attendees. They will discuss how to modernize OpenShift operations. This will boost scalability and resilience.
