Google has added a new feature in Gmail based on Gemini to help schedule meetings more easily. While replying to an email about possible meeting time, Gmail now recognizes this intention and shows a “Help me schedule” option in the toolbar. By choosing this option, Gemini identifies your Google Calendar and the content of the email to suggest good times for a meeting. These proposals are placed directly in your response, and the recipient can pick the most accessible slot. The moment a time is picked, a Calendar invite is issued to all parties automatically, making it easy to schedule.

This feature is just one part of Google’s larger move to incorporate Gemini’s AI powers throughout its Workspace bundle. Earlier, Gemini has helped users condense long email conversations, compose replies with contextual Smart Replies, and give instant answers using Gmail Q&A. The introduction of the “Help me schedule” feature also illustrates Gemini’s function in streamlining productivity through automating mundane tasks and smoother collaboration. This capability is now rolled out to Google Workspace users, with future plans to make it available to Google One AI Premium subscribers shortly.
