Code Metal has closed a $125 million Series B round led by Salesforce Ventures at a $1.25 billion valuation, with participation from Accel, B Capital, Smith Point Capital, J2 Ventures, Shield Capital, Overmatch, RTX, and others, underscoring rapidly growing demand for its technology that bridges the trust gap in AI-generated code for mission-critical sectors. This new fund injection is only a few months’ time after the Series A and will be used to increase engineering headcount, speed up product R&D, grow commercial and government partnerships, and strengthen go, to, market strategies as Code Metal’s platform for verifiable code translation and optimization gathers momentum across the defense, automotive, semiconductor, and other regulated sectors with clients like Toshiba, RTX, L3Harris, and the U. S. Air Force. Alongside the funding announcement, the company revealed its President and COO appointment of Ryan Aytay, ex, CEO of Tableau. Aytay is bringing years of enterprise technology leadership experience to the company to help scale up operations and enhance strategic partnerships. “AI code generation has hit an inflection point: mission-critical industries cannot deploy what they cannot verify,” said Rob Keith, Partner at Salesforce Ventures, emphasizing the company’s neuro-symbolic approach that mathematically proves code correctness and the unprecedented adoption that led Salesforce Ventures to lead the round.

“This new funding round marks an important milestone for Code Metal and validates our mission to close the trust gap in AI-generated code,” said Peter Morales, founder and CEO of Code Metal, adding that “AI can generate code at unprecedented speed, but in mission-critical environments, speed without proof is not enough; we are building the infrastructure that ensures software can be trusted before deployment.” In his new role, Aytay highlighted the need for a higher standard in mission-critical settings: “AI is changing how code is built, but in mission-critical environments, the standard has to be higher than simply generating code. Code Metal is the leader in trusted verification and validation of AI-generated and legacy code…”, positioning the company as a key provider of trusted AI code infrastructure. “AI has transformed how software is written, but code portability and translation remain challenging,” said Yan-David Erlich, General Partner at B Capital, noting strong traction, particularly in safety-critical defense applications.
