Bitdefender has introduced GravityZone Extended Email Security is a newly developed product by Bitdefender to fill vital security holes in legacy solutions through merging email and endpoint protection technologies into one solution. The company has decided to launch the product following several weaknesses observed in existing solutions to email security. Specifically, current solutions mostly cover email protection before delivery to the user mailbox and do little to mitigate the dangers of threats delivered to user email accounts. These flaws give hackers ample opportunity to increase their dwell time while hiding from detection tools. The gravityzone extended email security solution offers an enhanced approach to security by integrating SEG and post-delivery filtering through APIs. With this approach, threats can be blocked before delivery to email boxes and managed through monitoring, detecting, and eliminating them even after delivery.
