Generative AI pioneer Anthropic has raised a massive $65 billion Series H funding round that means the company is being used by more and more global enterprises and their post-money valuation has been pushed to a stunning figure of $965 billion. This round was led by top venture firms like Altimeter Capital Dragoneer Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital. The round was co-led by a consortium which included Capital Group Coatue D1 Capital Partners GIC ICONIQ, and XN. The round also includes $15 billion in previously committed investments from hyperscalers such as Amazon, as well as strategic hardware infrastructure partners Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix. Anthropic’s revenue run-rate (annualized) broke the $47 billion barrier this month, a reflection of the firm’s phenomenal growth since its Series G funding in February. The rise also signifies the maturation of the Claude product which is the first frontier model that is natively available on all the three major cloud infrastructure platforms i. e. Amazon Web Services (its primary training partner), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. To support this historic demand, the company has drastically scaled its core compute capacity through massive multi-gigawatt power and hardware infrastructure agreements with Amazon, Google, Broadcom, and SpaceX.

Commenting on the company’s enterprise momentum, Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic, stated, “Claude is increasingly indispensable to our growing global community of customers, and we work tirelessly to make tools like Claude Code and Cowork more helpful, more powerful, and more adaptable to their needs. This funding will help us serve the historic demand we are experiencing, stay at the research frontier, and bring Claude to more of the places where work happens.” Validating this strategic direction, Brad Gerstner, Founder and CEO of Altimeter Capital, noted, “Claude’s latest advancements have driven large-scale adoption among the world’s most demanding organizations. This momentum positions Anthropic to lead the next phase of AI innovation and capture the enormous opportunity ahead.”
