Samsung outlines its strategy to use AI technology to make the connected device experience more secure, inclusive and energy efficient

Samsung Electronics shared its vision of how artificial intelligence (AI) technology will allow people to experience their devices more intuitively and conveniently than ever. Presenting these ideas at a press conference at CES® 2024 , the brand joined with key partners to outline the technology behind this vision and how new products and services use AI capabilities to make life easier.

Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, opened the presentation by describing how AI will enable connected technologies to improve people’s daily lives without being intrusive and always remaining “in the background”. The strategy he and others outlined focused on AI’s role in improving connected experiences that are simple and useful. Throughout the press conference, Samsung presented a series of products and services that help achieve these goals.

AI-enabled digital home appliances and display products bring new experiences to the home

During the CES press conference, Jonathan Gabrio , Director of the Connected Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, described the ways AI technology is transforming the way display products and digital home appliances are used. For example, the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D display features an integrated AI processor – NQ8 AI Gen 3 – equipped with an eight times larger AI neural network and an NPU twice as fast as its predecessor. Powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, Samsung Neo QLED 8K automatically scales low-resolution content to provide users with up to 8K quality viewing experience and enhances fast-moving images through AI Motion Enhancer Pro. Samsung Neo QLED 8K also features Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which analyzes voice and background noise using AI to optimize the TV listening experience and allows users to enjoy content as if they were in the front row of a stadium or in a theater. cinema. Samsung Neo QLED 8K also features Tizen OS Home, which offers the latest apps, services, personalized content and service recommendations to enhance the entertainment experience.
