Diana Buica Joins Veeam Software as Global Campaign Marketing Manager for Security and AI Governance

Veeam Software has welcomed back Diana Buica as its new Global Campaign Marketing Manager for Security & AI Governance, marking her return to the company after more than two years at IBM. Buica announced the move on LinkedIn, describing the transition as a new professional chapter and expressing appreciation for the experience and colleagues she gained during her time at IBM.

In her new role at Veeam, Buica will focus on global marketing campaigns supporting the company’s security and AI governance initiatives. Her responsibilities include developing integrated campaigns and coordinating marketing activities across different channels to support awareness and engagement around emerging cybersecurity and AI governance requirements.

Buica returns to Veeam with more than seven years of experience in technology marketing and demand generation. Before joining IBM, she spent more than three years at Veeam in global campaign marketing roles focused on public cloud. She also previously worked at Palo Alto Networks, where she managed integrated demand generation campaigns for cybersecurity offerings including Cortex XDR and Unit 42.

During her time at IBM, Buica worked as a Global Demand Generation Strategist focused on Data for AI. Her responsibilities included developing demand strategies, designing customer journeys, coordinating omnichannel marketing programs, and working with product, content, digital, social, media, and field marketing teams.

Her return to Veeam comes as security and AI governance become increasingly connected. Organizations adopting AI are facing new questions around data protection, access, compliance, risk management, and responsible use of AI systems. This is creating demand for clearer strategies that bring cybersecurity and AI governance together.

Buica’s move highlights the evolving role of technology marketing as enterprises navigate these changes. Campaign leaders are increasingly required to understand complex technology issues and communicate them clearly to business and technical audiences.
