Vention, the pioneer behind the world’s only full-stack software and hardware automation platform, is set to unveil its AI-driven bin-picking technology at NVIDIA GTC, the premier global artificial intelligence (AI) conference for developers taking place this week.

This advanced AI-powered solution eliminates the need for complex and costly custom programming, streamlining the adoption of bin-picking automation. Vention plans to bring this cutting-edge technology to market later this year.

During a live demonstration, an ABB GoFa™ CRB 15000 robot—equipped with vision capabilities, precision finger grippers, and integrated with a Vention MachineMotion AI controller—will showcase its autonomous functionality. By utilizing only an uploaded CAD file of the part being processed, the robot can accurately detect, select, pick, and organize components with industry-leading speed and precision. This unprecedented level of autonomy is powered by advanced foundation models.

This innovative demonstration is part of an ongoing development project with McAlpine & Co. Ltd, a leading U.K. plumbing manufacturer with over a century of expertise. The company has been actively seeking a bin-picking and machine-loading automation solution to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Vention’s MachineMotion AI controller, powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin module-on-compute platform, serves as the foundation for this breakthrough technology—enabling real-time processing for scalable autonomous bin picking. This next-generation control system surpasses traditional PLC-based automation, reducing deployment time while offering expanded capabilities.
