Selgron, a reference in technology for industrial automation and one of the main Brazilian brands that develops automation solutions for agribusiness, has just launched the ES Selector. With an artificial intelligence system that automates grain separation, the machine is aimed at the product selection process and can be applied in rice, coffee, soybean, chestnut, hominy and similar production industries.

The ES Selector has up to eight grain selection trays. A series of high-tech cameras read the grains that pass through the sensor chamber and air jets separate those identified by tracking as non-standard. The solution also has infrared radiation sensors to detect patterns and programmable electronic boards that detect and select the grains according to the quality desired by the company.

“One of the differences of this technology is that it is applied in different industrial situations, being very versatile for agriculture. With the programming software in which the desired grain pattern is inserted into the system, through photos captured on the tray according to the needs of the customer, the company can select different standards and guarantee agility in this production stage. Furthermore, it is an essential technology to guarantee quality to the product at the time of packaging, in accordance with the desired specifications for sale”, highlights Carlos Augusto Bieging, Director of Selgron Research.

In addition to grain classification, the sensors also detect and eliminate impurities, from broken grains to other products that may eventually be found in the selection, such as remnants of stones, poorly formed grains and those with imperfections not visible to the human eye.. “It’s a technology crucial to maintaining the quality standard and even complying with the standards established for grain separation. With the machine, the industry has the peace of mind of knowing that there is an automated and very efficient sweep and that it gains in productivity, quality and added value “, reinforces the executive.

Selgron develops the necessary solution for the best application of the equipment in the production line, counting on product engineers dedicated to this work, in addition to testing its machines in its own laboratory and even carrying out programming according to the user’s needs, to ensure efficiency at the time of selection. ES Selector is also already in operation in large industries in the rice and coffee sectors in Brazil.

Present in more than 40 countries and with more than 6 thousand machines installed, Selgron has its own development and production of its technologies, which cover the entire industrial process, from separation to packaging and palletizing of products.
